The Office Christmas Party Season
Hey, the Christmas party season has officially started! At least, here in London people seem to be rushing around organising and booking the few venues that seemed to be left, especially offices. This year, I started to see adverts with promotions as early as late July, in the height of the glorious summer, which seemed to be rather awkward.
The first of my Xmas parties this year took place yesterday. It will be a fun party with music and friends. But, not all Christmas parties are like that. In fact, office workers seem to dread the parties organised by their companies. They are all so different, though. They range from informal dinners at a restaurant and drinks to the type of lavish parties at expensive venues, such as the office party that I attended last year.
On the other hand, the stories that usually come out of them can be really funny – or really aweful. Maybe, that´s what people fear?
Have you had any funny shenanigans? Share them with us! I have dag up the infographic below, which contains some tips and fun stuff. The excuses there are hilarious. Enjoy your Christmas parties.
Good one! It is indeed the start of the ‘silly season’. I quite like all the Christmas parties/events at work. It’s fun and a great way to let you hair down and relax in a non-businessy way. 🙂
Indeed! I am waiting for the silly stories that friends tell after those parties. Thanks for your reply!
I used to dread the Christmas party organised for us teachers every year. It was invariably at some second rate restaurant which had allowed itself to be overbooked. the kitchen obviously couldn’t cope and the service was abysmal. 🙁
