Picture Wednesday – Neon Art
The current state of the economy forces us to use and re-use objects which we may otherwise throw out. When it comes to industrial objects, the sheer ugliness of the objects represents a challenge for creativity. How could anyone use them to create a certain visual effect and not to drive viewers away?
It doesn’t have to create a pretty nor pleasant effect. For example, the object in the picture below. It is yet all right.
This neon concrete mixer is next to the Concrete bar at the Hayward Gallery in London’s South Bank Centre. It was created by David Batchelor.
Have you seen similar type of objects re-used for artistic purposes before?
Thanks for checking my post today!

That works perfectly for where it is located. Someone was pretty clever to think of it.
